Nor’easter on the way for tonight into Friday.
Heavy rain and gusty winds along the coast with snow mixing in at times. No accumulations expected at this time.

4-8” inches for Putnam county.
6-14” for Sullivan, Dutchess and counties to the north and west. 14” amounts in the highest elevations.
1-5” for Westchester County with highest totals in the north.
Another round of spring snow is on the way for late Thursday into Friday.
WINTER STORM WATCHES HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR WESTCHESTER COUNTY ON NORTH, AS WELL AS NORTHEASTERN NEW JERSEY.
This storm could be a big one as it heads off the coast and deepens up over the waters of the Atlantic. 5 inches or more of snow will fall in areas with winter storm watches. Here in the city a coating to 3 inches is possible. A lot depends on the track of the storm, so I will have an update later tonight as well as tomorrow.
On the bright side, warmer weather returns for next week.
Stepping our of your front door this morning in the Big Apple will result in a 27 degree air temp slap to the face. Sure, it’s chilly and un-spring-like but the sun is super bright and will definitely take the chill out of your bones.
Nothing much going on with the weather today. Just lots of sun and high temps around 43. Clear tonight with lows in the 20’s.

Rain slips in for Wednesday and beyond.
Currently 29 degrees in the heart of Manhattan with clear skies and sun. Temps are heading up to around 41 today with blue skies hanging tough. It may not be warm and spring like, but at least we have the sun beams, right?
Our next chance of precipitation will be Wednesday night in to Thursday. Some snow could be in that forecast.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT FOR AREAS JUST NORTH AND WEST OF THE CITY. 2-4 inches of snow will fall on grassy surfaces, with 1-2 on streets. WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR AREAS 45 MILES WEST OF THE CITY. 3-7 inches will accumulate with more in the higher elevations.
For the city, a slushy 1-3 inches of snow and sleet is expected. Most of that will accumulate on grass and cars.
