Snow will develop in the early morning hours of Saturday, then transition over to sleet and freezing rain then rain. Areas to the north and west will have a longer stretch of freezing rain and snow while coastal areas of Long Island and eastern NYC will transition more quickly. Snow will pile up about 1-2” in Westchester and Northern Jersey, with 0.10 to 0.20 inch of freezing rain accumulation possible. NYC will see a half inch of snow with 0.03 to 0.05 inch of freezing rain. Saturday night, precip goes back to snow, with less than an inch possible.
