PREPARE YOUR ARK…HEAVY RAIN IS ON THE WAY
Flood watches and warnings are up…expect major flooding in Northern NJ, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut. No flood watches or warnings for the immediate city.
Currently 42 in the Big Apple with clouds. The storm which will bring us heavy rain is stretching from Ohio all the way down to the Gulf coast. Ahead of the front, copious amounts of moisture will stream into our area from the south, beginning late tonight and lasting through Thursday. 2-4 inches of rain is going to be common. Couple that with Sundays rain and snow melt and you the perfect scenario for flooding.
Rain moves in around 11pm tonight and ends Friday afternoon.
Areas of Northwestern NJ and Northeastern PA will see precipitation start off as snow, then mix to freezing rain, then rain. Winter Weather Advisories are up for Sussex, NJ and parts of Northeastern PA.
Our next chance for good weather is Saturday.
